Tips for best use:

Firrst, open the battery compartment and remove the cardboard insulator. This is a small disc of cardboard put there to prevent activation during shipping.

Charge the unit fully before using. 

As with all vapes, optimum performance is achieved by firstly grinding or mulling your herb finely; loosely filling the chamber (don't overfill or pack tightly); and doing a long slow inhale. This lets the air pass slowly over the concealed element, heating to the set temperature, and allowing it to slowly perculate through the herbs, releasing the active ingredients and delicious aromas.

In our tests, we found the Focus Vape really easy to operate and it heats really quickly - by the time we loaded it, it was ready. The ceramic bowl is larger than most portables, and the smooth tapered 'mouth' to the bowl makes loading easy with no spillage or bits stuck in crevices. The vibrate is a nice reminder it's ready and is not too loud or intusive.

One single button to power on and off and select the temperature makes it super easy to operate. We liked the Blue 190ºC setting best, but it's also nice to start on a lower temp, have a few puffs, move up to Blue 190ºC for a few more puffs, then finish with a last puff on Purple 200ºC. The airflow control ring is awesome and makes us wonder how we did without it in other models! Dial it down for thicker vapour, or open it up for cooler flavours.

The Focus Vape feels good to hold - the metal construction and high-capacity battery add a certain heft to how it feels in your hand, while the faux-leather exterior resists scratches and feels cooler to touch. It's also really good having a replaceable 18650 battery - most portables have built-in batteries that cannot be swapped out, so when the battery dies so does your vape. With the Focus Vape, you'd just get a new battery.

In summary, the Focus Vape is a solid performer with all the features you need, and many that are normally only available in models which cost twice the price.
